Share a Meal at the Shelter!
January 10 @ 11:00 am - December 26 @ 1:00 pm
Because we all know that home-cooking is a great way to improve someone’s emotional and physical wellbeing, DVSCP is looking for volunteer groups to provide home-cooked lunches for our shelter residents beginning on Tuesdays this January! If you don’t have time to cook (we get it!)—some other ideas are pizza delivery, Panera sandwiches, Chinese food, or donate gift cards and an advocate will gladly pick up the food.
Our goal is to provide survivors with an opportunity to sit down together, support one another, and enjoy a meal.
If you are part of a church, civic, or other volunteer group who may be interested, please click here to sign-up today! Groups should plan to serve 10 adults unless otherwise notified by the coordinator and the meal should be ready by 11:15 a.m.
Volunteers will have access to our full kitchen to prep and cook the meal onsite, if needed. Any questions should be addressed to Stephanie Spurgeon at sspurgeon@dvscp.org or by calling 717-258-4806.
